  Trump has been roundly condemned for this charade by Bishop Mariann Budde, the diocesan bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Washington. Calling his use of the Bible as a prop in front of one of her diocese's Churches without permission and "using the church as a backdrop for a message antithetical to the teachings of Jesus and everything that our Churches stand for. And to do so...he sanctioned the use of tear gas by police officers in riot gear to clear the Church yard. I AM OUTRAGED".
