If we don't shift our priorities we'll stay fucked- I'm not hearing any suggestions though? I love Cornel West but simply blaming capitalism isn't going to change anything********
- The suggestion is that that which we have to gain is our own happiness. And that this happines stems from community, individual purpose..(happiness theory)srhadden
- We have to agree on more real priorities for our society (knowing that what there is now doesn't lead to real happiness) (except concentrated spots of it)srhadden
- People are distracted by a material society. Inequality (a logical byproduct of capital that only & always works in its own interest) creates even more tensionsrhadden
- So it's a Herculean task to overcome all this and have people re-evaluate their values, as a group as well as individually, even if it means becoming happysrhadden
