*spoilers alert*
To the cast directors of this movie - hats fucking down!
Casting Asia Kate Dillon (after her smart role in Billions) as "The Adjudicator", then Halle Berry who was quiet for some time but in her role as "Sofia" in this crushed it 214%, then Anjelica Huston as a ruthless and gorgeous Belorussian mafia godmother, Mark Dacascos as main villain ninja but hitting it even harder with his cool lines, Saïd Taghmaoui (my favourite Maroccan actor, he does wonders in each and every role he gets, see La Haine 1995 ffsake!!) as "the One above the Table", not to mention Ian McShane as "Winston" (from most recently American Gods series, he crushes it there too) or Laurence Fishburne as the "Bowery King" (basically being more or less Morpheus again), Randall Duk Kim as "the doctor" (or "the Keymaker from Matrix) and all the cool tattooed hotties both young or old as the Operators and sure, all the other assassins John Wick crushed all of them perfectly believable acting with no lines and all their perfectly choreographed deaths, all those exhausted ballerinas but gracefully still performing while ripping nails, all those perfectly dressed extras watching their old flip phones for every update on John Wick's status, even those 2 fuckin' dawgs ripping thru' armed killers by the dozens commanded by Halle Berry's "Sofia" at her whims...
They even cast Boban from the 76ers as a killer named "Ernest" ffsake and the guy did a great job trashing John Wick for a bit in a public library!
And finally John Wick as "Keanu Reeves" assembling an old revolver just to shoot a guy in the head at the right time, riding horse in Manhattan shooting ninjas on motorcycles, killing a 7 feet Boban/"Ernest" with a book (killing others in Part 2 with pencils), being a puppy lover, doing new tattoo with a hot iron cross, remembering to crush a guy's head with a hatchet after a knives fight, almost dying in a dessert but still surviving while drinking from a bottle filled with half water and half Halle Berry's "Sofia" spit, then cuttin his finger in a meeting with the sheikh, killing overall more men than Rambo, etc. all this while dressed in a perfectly cut bullet proof black suit!
So yeah, everybody coming together marvellously in their roles!
This is by far the best action movie of the past years. Part 1 was brilliant, Part 2 was a great filler, but this one was perfect!
Can't even image what Part 4 would be like. I don't even have hopes, will just wait calmly to 2022 for it...
