I'd like to take a minute to appreciate all the fanboys and "Apple doesn't innovate" yahoos who post complaints incessantly about how Apple has given up on laptops.

Seems Apple is reading the comments. The 13" 2.0GHz and 16" MBP are both pretty nice, wouldn't you agree? And, they even made a cheaper 13" to hit a price point!

Apple. Making laptops I actually want to buy since 2020!

    • Next year will be interesting too when they start using their own ARM processors. Faster, cooler, and better battery life.monospaced
    • I have the last generation 15" MacBook Pro and it's fantastic, BUT I can see room for improvement / @monospaced ARM comments above.ideaist
    • I have that same one, ideaist. Rumor is that ARM architecture will pack more power in less space, using less energy, like they're doing in ALL other devices.monospaced
    • I wonder if I can wait that long.nb
    • What's so innovative? You mean being current? Every other manufacturer is doing the same thing, at a fraction of the price. Not hating, just stating facts.section_014
    • Nobody's doing it exactly the same as Apple, and the price differences aren't as great as people like to imagine.monospaced
    • Innovation in itself isn't always an improvement. e.g.touch bar, loss of MagSafe. I'm not saying the new MBPs are innovative... I'm saying they're good.nb
    • Just looked at Dell similar to the 16-inch 8-core... the Dell is $125 more expensive. Neat.nb
    • I guess you pay a premium to use Windows these days, not there's anything wrong with that.nb
    • Also the Dell looks like this... YECH https://dell.to/2WKX…nb
    • People often forget the build quality of the physical computer. It's hard to match for strength, durability and overall harmony.monospaced
    • If Dell sold their same computer, but with an upgrade of $400 for the solid unibody frame and high quality elements, I'm sure people would buy them too.monospaced
