Friend of mine started a business. I was excited and offered to design the logo for free / trade because there will definitely be things I want from them in the future that won't cost them a lot.
Sent my proposal, was happy with my ideas.
A week later he tells me his parter's other friend whipped something up and he is all set on it.
Now they have a terrible logo that his partner is happy with and my friend is oblivious and I'm bitter.
The design is ugly and mine was much better.

- I wouldn't totally pull the pin on friends etc being sources of work. If they did this to a friend, how would they treat a designer who wasn't one??MrT
