There's a debate raging as to if governments are over-reporting covid deaths and it's lead to some crazy and not so crazy conspiracy theories.

It's probably impossible to get the numbers absolutely right, so I say better over-reporting and being overly cautious than under-reporting and putting us at risk.

Can you imagine if the powers that be said corona numbers are tiny, no Big deal, get back to work everyone, nothing to see here...The conspiracy nutjobs would lose their minds even more.

"The government is hiding the true scale and they want us to go back to work and die!!!!"

    • The numbers are too low actually, we know for a fact there isn't nearly enough testing going on.zarkonite
    • Over reporting?! It's the opposite! They can't count all the dead 'cuz fast enough in the hardest hit places!

    • Whoever is debating over reporting needs to read A LOT more about it

    • 'fog of war' shit... A year or two from now we'll actually be informed people... till then we're conspiracy theorists, opinionists or just assholes.PonyBoy
    • We knew this was going to happen. If lockdown measures work = the virus has less impact = it was never a big deal in the first place.inteliboy
    • Small minded logic.inteliboy
