An old friend in Texas just dropped this wisdom on Facebook.
My response:
With all due respect, this is a ridiculous graphic. It’s not a matter of being afraid of unafraid nor is it a matter of “freedom.”
People can be “not afraid” all they want, but each of those activities listed puts people at risk as long as this virus exists, especially if wearing a mask or gloves is slated in the “afraid” category.
It’s not a matter of afraid / not afraid. It’s a matter of caution and empathy vs. recklessness and selfishness. You can be afraid - it’d be crazy not not be afraid right now - and as a result of that be a cautious and empathetic participant in society, to ensure the health and safety of those around you.
Stay well.
- Let's hope he doesn't go the way of John McDaniel.PhanLo

- not afraid one bit, but don't want to kill someone's grandma accidentally so we stay in for a bit more, no harm done********
- ppl like this are too stupid to comprehend the situation, that's why China sealed people in their houses to stop the spread********
- Actually, he thanked me for a different perspective, and eventually deleted his post when he realized it was sending the wrong message.mg33
