It seems to be many factories and building suppliers re-opening in the UK today (with distancing measures in place) in response to calls from contractors who believe they can socially distance on sites and a lot of small contractors (builders, landscapers and the like) set to follow suit on Wednesday... The government says there's no way to know when lockdown will end but all the science shows that limiting the movement of people has little effect (over moderate social distancing, good hygiene) if people congregate in workplaces and shops. I wouldn't say we've 'cleared' shit but definitely entering the 'Controlled Avalanche' stage of capitalist pandemic management - the accompanying community enforced social lockdown little more than penance to the virus at this stage.

    • Yup, I'm one of those relieved small contractors - my ply/mdf supplier and plastics supplier both opened up again today, which is a relief (for me)Nairn
    • Bojo's cocaine supplier has reopened too by the looks of it. "this is the moment of maximum risk" slide on Boris... you and your antibodies ;Dkingsteven
    • Unfortunately most people don't really social distance themselves, have general bad hygiene and eat like shit.utopian
    • Only Boris would gain weight recovering from a near death experience...fadein11
