    Leaked documents from an internal briefing by the US government based on their own lab tests. This seems to confirm what a lot of people have suspected -- the virus prefers cold, dry climates and is killed by heat, humidity and sunlight.


    This doesn't mean hot countries are immune or that the pandemic will end in the summer. Virus can still spread less effectively in a hot climate and more rapidly indoors via air conditioned environments. But it does explain why many parts of the world have seen a more muted impact.
