Anyone here have a permanent bottom retainer on your bottom front teeth? I've had one since I was 14, 42 now, and it finally broke off on one side. It wasn't that much of a bother until it snagged on my tooth brush last night and bent inward a little, can already feel my tongue getting irritated from it.
The LAST place I want to go is to a dentist office and get someone else's fingers in my mouth and their face close to mine. I can't decide whether or not I want to fix it with some kind of epoxy, or just yank the whole thing out. I'm afraid of it braking off partially on the other side and there being this pointy piece of metal that I can't move and that pokes my tongue.

- go to your orthodontistok_not_ok
- get it taken out, and I can assure you, that dentist is more scared of your mouth than you are of his :)monospaced
- now its not the good time to experiment on yourself :) i would ask my doc first, idk what options you have.********
- WTF don't try to fix it yourself!! Dentists have gloves and masks and probably you've already been exposed to COVID.********
- You are not La Bouef!

- Fixed it. Lifted it up over my teeth with a toothpick and pulled it forward to bend it so it has some tension again. It sits perfectly again, just not securemg33
