Would love this. A 15’’ or 16’’ iPad Pro.
- why not just make a 16’’ MacBook Pro with a detachable keyboard?maquito
- Because that’s not the point. I love iPadOS and it’s different than MacOS in many regards. Also no touchscreen possible with MacsNBQ00
- We don’t want a Windows OS like laptop with touchscreen. The iPad Pro is touch first. And the AX cpu screams despite no fans.NBQ00
- @maquito - they probably will end up copying the Surface laptop, too. Why not at this point?formed
- The surface laptop isn't that good. Because the classic os with touch screen doesn't work well. That's why Apple isn't doing itNBQ00
- my work windows 10 crappy hp laptop has touch screen....shapesalad
- So what. A desktop OS with Touchscreen still not as nice of a experience as iPad Pro with iPadOSNBQ00
- Apple also insisted, for years and years, that the Surface, a stylus, etc., were dumb...and look where we are.formed
- They didn’t say surface was dumb. Merely, that classic desktop OS wasn’t good with touch. And I agree. iPadOS is so much better for touch than MacOSNBQ00
- Apple still isn't creating an interface for a stylus, and still think it's dumb. Their "pencil" is for creative content creation pretty much exclusively.monospaced
- Their iPadOS is still 100% touch based, and with support for keyboard/mice, a step toward more serious work I guess.monospaced
- Also I’m sure Steve meant a standard stylus that comes with a smartphone. So far Apple still hasn’t done stylus support for iPhone. Only iPads.NBQ00
- I'd rather tradeoff some minor touch interface issues and use a classic OS than having to deal with the restrictive workflow of ipadOS. It's not even close tozarkonite
- being good as a production tool.zarkonite
- Nobody said it’s meant for complex content creation and nobody expects it. It’s for inbetween and some design/ illustration work. But mostly web & media viewingNBQ00
