I'm thinking of trying to book *something* like a two week holiday for early-/mid-September — thinking that, by then, restrictions will have relaxed a bit, and EU borders re-opened.

I'm just wondering if everyone will have the same idea I do, and prices will be absolutely nigh-on extortionate with hyper-demand.

    • It could be a gamble, here in Portugal the numbers of infected are optimist, but with the easing of restrictions we could face a second wave of infections.dmay
    • DE's new case numbers are up for the third day in a row, so I'm hoping that means all of us will be going into our second waves more or less simultaneously.Continuity
    • The sooner the second wave is had and done with, the better.Continuity
    • You're really optimistic mate, I like it ;)OBBTKN

    • Flights to New Zealand from NY were SUPER cheap (like $700) when the Italy/Milan thing hit, and I was gonna get. Now expensive again.hardhat
    • I just had a quick look, I can get a return flight from Munich to Nice in Sept for about 125 €, which isn't bad. Not great, but still not too bad.Continuity
    • Accommodation would probably be eye-wateringly expensive, though.Continuity
