Doctors have found tentative evidence that seriously ill coronavirus patients can benefit from infusions of blood plasma collected from people who have recovered from the disease.

Hints that the therapy may help have prompted US doctors to trial infusions in the outbreak in New York and similar studies are expected to start in the UK in the coming weeks.

    • So you're saying taking blood of a young, healthy person and giving it to older, sickly person works? Is this correct.robotron3k
    • it’s only the part of the blood where you will find antibodies. it‘s not like in medieval paintings or movie images you might have.uan
    • you need recovered patients to harvest their blood for antibodies. and its not a cure. it‘s an additional tool they can use to make patients survive.uan
