    It was ok. I didn't love it, but it could have been worse.

    My two big complaints are that — *again* — the stakes are artificially high (all life in the galaxy going to be wiped out!!!!1!!one) and, like so much of modern television, it was much more plot-driven than character driven. I don't really feel like I know any of these people after the first series, much less care about them.

    @PonyBoy: I suspect Picard now being an android is kind of an insurance policy for CBS. As you said, the man looks very frail and, when he goes, they always have the option of continuing the series by regenerating Picard into a more youthful android body (kind of like Doctor Who).
