are you guys going to the grocery store to get your food or you have other alternatives like online>delivery ??

I feel this is the worst place to go at the moment because everyone is going there and touch everything and with the restaurants shutdown, there's a huge peak in customers at the grocery stores, i've read an article about this yesterday.

My ride in the subway is pretty safe, there's an estimate of 70% less people, i have no problem being at 5-6' from everyone. At my job, i work alone in a room, pretty safe there too. So yeah, i feel the grocery store is where I have the potential to catch that thing.

    • Subway is full of surfaces, though. Get your groceries however and then disinfect everything incl. yourself when you get home.
      ********
    • And why the fuck are you not working from home.

    • But some idiot parked their bicycle right next to me, as I was locking up, even though the bicycle rack was empty and they could have kept 2m away from me.shapesalad
    • We leave everything on the table for a complete day (24h min), I order things only online, built the optimal ways for that last week.

    • We buy all from a small supermarket and a butcher shop near our home, if not, online (e.g. liquid for contacts and other first necesity items), and clean them..OBBTKN
    • Also simple SOAP is your best friend, but please try not using these home made things... you will see liquid soaps disappear from our lives soon.

    • I have to go to the grocery store once a week. I will hit up outdoor produce stands as long as they exist. Online too much is sold out, unfortunately.monospaced
    • I went yesterday. It was fully stocked, calm and collected. People kept distance, people AREN'T touching everything, and it seemed entirely safe from my view.monospaced
    • That's really great Mono, looks like you guys understood the basic things pretty quick.
      ********
    • most of the delivery services i.e. Wholefoods, Peapod, Freshly, etc... are booked for at least 2-4 weeks.utopian

    • The online delivery from grocery stores overloaded. I just ordered groceries last night and we'll get them in 12 days. :(Melanie
