Iam really worried for my 71 yo mother more than anything, her health isn't great.. At one point it's gonna be difficult to avoid the virus, it's endless all the ways you can catch it. I also can't understand how the system could sustain all this for many weeks... And for months, i think its impossible... Too much things are stopped right now, the consequences are going to be massive! Crazy how it was "a virus in China" thing for months and it suddenly changed our lifes in a few days... I don't know, just thinking out loud.
- I feel the same. My 80 year old mother is trapped in Spain (Canaries) at my uncles, been v.ill for 5 days, may be a coincidence. Advised her not to go butfadein11
- went anyway as going with my cousin (late 50's)... Ugh. Can't get back for weeks. Feel so helpless. Spoke to her this morning, much improved. But god knows.fadein11
- It's the media, just ignore it.deadsperm
- I'm worried about mine, too. She's 71 and lives in rural New Brunswick, which quite possibly has as bad a health care infrastructure as the US.Continuity
- On the other hand, there's a very low population density, so maybe that will work in her favour.Continuity
- At the moment I am thinking the same, if she gets better she is in the best place for her right now. Not so much if ill as healthcare so poorfadein11
- I lost my dad on march 3rd because of an upper resp. infection. It's not Covid he had problems for a while. There's not an hour that I don't think of him, hurtsBeeswax
