  Current political worry is that the democrats are being exposed as completely hypocritical, self-interested hacks who abandon the people (so basically turning into neoconservatives) while the republicans are nearing full-on fascism.

  Obviously the left needs to break from the democrats and create a third party, but when all this public panic is over, everyone is going to be blaming someone else. And if there happens to be a major recession / depression going on, that's a breeding ground for both a nationalist / violent political movement and/or civil war.

  This corona virus stuff sucks but I'm far more concerned about what happens once the curve gets leveled out and begins to drop.
