Some of you who are worrying incessantly should watch this.
I would start around 4:15- Message to the "real doctor" get off youtube and go be of some actual use to people.ben_
- I want to reinforce one point he makes that stats are based on KNOWN cases and are never going to be well-represented because they're mostly severe cases.SteveJobs
- How many more people with mild symptoms are not getting tested and skewing the numbers to make things look bleak? This is why I don't focus on death rate stats.SteveJobs
- ben_, calming the masses isn't providing actual use? That seems a bit negative and dramatic.SteveJobs
- Is he calming anyone or is it confirmation bias? Should we believe youtubers over actual, proven healthcare workers with field experience?ben_
- Seems a bit juvenile and asinine.ben_
- For the record any post or comment I’ve made on this is to keep a level head.ben_
- You should take information from everywhere and apply it as needed to your situation. If it's helping some people I think that's of value.SteveJobs
- I agree. Except I try to take information from sources that don’t make asses of themselves online for ratings. Maybe it’s his delivery or maybe that points he’sben_
- making are already inaccurate. I can agree to disagree with you on this guy’s value, so if he helps you, great.ben_
- Yeah I'm sure you mean well, I just think one does more damage, ironically, with those words in times like this where people are looking for reassurance. :)SteveJobs
- See, that’s where we differ. I’m guessing my words “don’t listen to this youtuber” will do less damage than the false assurances he’s offering will.ben_
- I get people need to feel hopeful, and they should. This guy has a patreon account... I’m sorry.ben_
