So the global mortality rate based on confirmed cases and recorded deaths is now sitting at around 4%. Fuck, that is very high for something so contagious.
- This is why we need more granular data. People need actionable information. Be careful to not focus on the big numbers alone. Same for airline/car crashes, etcSteveJobs
- It’s not that high though.monospaced
- What's not that high? Even if the number of reported cases is twice as many, a 2% mortality rate is bad.BusterBoy
- I’ve heard from experts. I know everyone says that but I really do have the sources. It’s far closer to 1% than we think. 50% or more, won’t be counted at all.monospaced
- And for people 50 and under its close to .01% and that is confirmed.monospaced
