Early Saturday (7:30-8:00am) is one of my grocery shopping times. There's usually about 5 people there, excluding staff. The parking lot was over half full this morning.

    Things I noticed:

People buying 5 loaves of bread. Lots of water and pop (soda) in carts. No beef available, eggs were gone, and bread was sparse. I was able to buy some fish and scallops though.

Didn't see any morons with 100 rolls of TP, which was encouraging. Did see a number of folks on their phone, which I assume they answered after touching everything in the store.

Dry rice and beans was completely stocked. Same with canned foods. Both of which, I saw very little of in people's carts. Seems like people preferred potato chips, cereal, and prepackaged deli meat.

    • Pasta has been one of the things there's been a run on in my local supermarket.Continuity
    • ^Because people are so fucking stupid they can only prepare pasta - they cannot cook

    • Well, there's that. Conversely, it does have an impressive shelf life.Continuity
    • ^IF somebody spreads a rumour that pasta is actually coming from Italy that is so heavily infested with coronavirus, these people would not eat pasta & starve?!
      ********
    • Haha! Fair point!Continuity
