There was a very nervous-looking Asian chap at the bus stop last night, tightly holding a cloth hankie to his mouth. He was so wide-eyed and conscious of himself, it was odd.
Anyway, I walked away from the stop and texted a friend wishing him farewell as I was imminently about to catch Corona Virus, then when my bus came smiled widely at the Asian guy, then couldn't help but chuckle to myself.
Poor fucker. I couldn't tell whether his manner was completely unrelated to al the Wuhan stuff, or if he was hugely conscious of how he looked. If the latter, he wasn't helping.
As amusing as this felt to me at the time, I woke up at about 5am with my infant daughter nestled next to me and I suddenly didn't find it very amusing at all.
