Don't know if any of you are in the market for a new TV, but my old one went out Friday (was a 64" 2011 Samsung plasma that the previous owners left in the house we bought a few years ago). I got a new one this weekend and got the Samsung Frame QLED, and being a fan of aesthetically pleasing electronics I'm really happy with how slim it is and how flush it is to the wall. It looks like a picture frame, and the bonus of the "Art Mode" is honestly pretty cool. When the TV is in standby mode, it dims itself and displays a selected photo or painting that in daytime looks pretty realistic, and not backlit and bright as if you were watching TV. It's the first 4k TV I've had with stuff that can actually stream in 4k; I miss the quality of the plasma screen but 4k is pretty impressive all around.

    • The Frame has been on my radar since its release a few years ago. we just finished a 2yr refurbishment and still kitting place out...microkorg
    • ... when it comes to TV this is still the one I want. It's either going to sit on its own or in beside lots of other framed prints so it's fully disguised...microkorg
    • ...Great to hear such positive feedback about it first hand though rather than just from randoms on JohnLewis website ;)microkorg
    • Particularly with regards to the quality of the art mode. We've not had a TV in the house for nearly 3 years. Dont want our kids relying on a big black box...microkorg
    • ... as a pacifier or way to spend time but do miss a big screen to watch movies on so this is closest we'll get to an invisible TV.microkorg
