Spent a lot of years exploring Neil Young's music and although I agree with him to some extent, it's also a fact that people have access to more music than ever before. We have more independent labels than ever before. Now the likes of HMV and Virgin records have kind of fucked off, we have Apple and Amazon spewing out the pop shit, then a giant undercurrent of independent record labels constantly reinventing, cross-pollinating and deconstructing styles than are completely new and often incoherent - because we can. Because of the internet. The Macbook is just another tool and it pisses all over those 4-track cassette recorders I had in the 80s. And we have new software and plug ins coming out all the time. He's being a dick just sell his bit of tech - and for that - fuck you NEIL YOUNG!
