Just got off the phone w/some loony fuck whom demanded I 'apologize' for stealing his 'copyrighted' art...

It took over 10 minutes to get the fucking moron to understand the work I was sharing WITH HIS CLIENT (and mine) was REQUESTED BY HIS CLIENT to be be animated and inserted into a marketing video.

The Dude called me losing his shit threatening legal action etc all because I was KIND ENOUGH to cc him on the fucking comp requested by our joint client. Dude was too dense to see he was included to offer a critique nor did he bother to see who else was even cc'd on the fucking email (his client and their partners)...

... not to mention the artwork was SHIT and is not something I'd ever admit I even had anything to do with let alone take credit for... this was a fucking paycheck for something that will never again be sent or shared by me. Fucking loony hack.

    • And what's really sad is he didn't apologize when he realized what a dipshit he looked like... instead he sort of doubled down... "Oh? XXX asked you to do...PonyBoy
    • ... this work? Hmm - well he didn't tell me. I better not find out otherwise..."PonyBoy

    • I am dealing with a similar situation with a client who brought in a freelancer who was over his head, and later our agency was brought in as consultants.BonSeff
    • Handle it with grace if you can.BonSeff
    • Client-facing I am cordial, but back at the shop I am dropping so many f-bombs to the PM. I get the struggle.BonSeff
    • Forget about it. Stand above the conflict. Even apologize if shit gets too intense. Stay away from toxic people, and find the easiest way out of toxic situationmaquito
    • The Artist is likely worried, fucking stressed, and crazy defensive cause he is pretty aware his work is shit.maquito
    • I’ve been there, and sadly done the wrong thing: torturing, degrading, making fun... believe me, it does no good for no one.maquito
    • Yeah... I took it easy... didn't even bother talking to 'our' client about it. I did have to yell over the fucker to take the conversation down...PonyBoy
    • ... and to be honest I feel a bit shitty for even letting my voice go up. And please no way did I belittle or attack his work and probably wouldn't even...PonyBoy
    • ... (sorry - I did talk shit here on QBN about it... but in no way would I ever to his face / over the phone!)... just venting here. :)PonyBoy
    • I got it from your last paragraph. I have to admit I would’ve felt tented to, but good job for letting it go!maquito
