Anyone in here ever tried or is sharing a family plan Spotify account with someone not living with you?

I added my brother to my family plan, he wrote that he wrote my adress as his in his profile. He activated this by putting the Localisation turned off on his phone. It worked, he was successfully added to my family plan.

Is there a risk that Spotify discover it and ban me from using Spotify? Anyone know more about this?

    • I am able to login and use my spotify on anyone's device, regardless of what location I'm in, and they've never done anything about it. Should be fine.monospaced
    • The only issue is if you don't have a family plan, and it will say it's playing somewhere already and stop you. :)monospaced
    • i am using the family plan my father in law set up 4 years ago and I have never had a problem and i've not even turned off my localisation.scruffics
