re: Jam & Spoon, Stella -

There's a tune from 'about that era' that I can't quite remember, but would do so the second I heard it - I loved it as a kid, having heard it on a mix that a friend's brother had made, as he was a DJ/producer around that time*.

Now, I know this is totally vague, so there's no easy way to find it - but I would like to hear it again before I die, so. How would I go about finding it?

I'm thinking I need some sort of resource that catalogues 'rave'/dance tunes from that era, so I could simply and stupidly progressively search for each one in YouTube, etc and spend a few days, weeks, months gradually trying to find it... but I know of no such resource.

    Any thoughts?

    • Something like this maybe?https://www.di...yuekit

    • Possibly, yeah.
      Although "1 – 50 of 10,881".
      I should've expected that, shouldn't I?
"a few days, weeks, months.. .years".

    • That's gonna give you a huge number of results though. If it's a fairly well known track, maybe better off searching best of lists from that era or something.yuekit
    • I have no idea how well-known it was - I only ever heard it on this one mix. Perhaps I should just try and contact my old friend and see if he kept any tapes :)Nairn
    • ok, if I assume itw as a UK release, I can get it down to 2348 releases. A *little* more manageable :\Nairn
    • Not sure if it will help your search but just realized filtering by "Most Wanted" on that site along w/ genre and year is a nice way to find stuff :)yuekit
