Just heard about Adobe Experience Manager over the past few days... it's got an average cost of approx $2mil!! Licence costs 500k alone? What the hell, this must be some crazy powerful shit?? I hadn't come across it before - anyone here used it?
Makes sense with the profit figures above Bennn...
- I do work for a national retailer and they use it for website/eComm. I don't love it.ETM
- It was once called Communique (CQ) by Day Software, but Adobe bought it and folded it into the product they now offer as AEM.ETM
- I've heard that it's horrible, and I've seen the horror of sites build using it.mg33
- It's a framework, so it's as good or bad as the developers make the site.ETM
- How does a head of design convince the board to invest in a $2m or $500k licence. You could literally buy and run a team of designers & devs for years on thatshapesalad
- In the scope and budgets I see in this national retailer/eComm scenario, neither is very much money.ETM
- They're generating $100 mil a year on eComm alone and growing 30-40% per year on average.ETM
