    I started a freelance to perm job a number of weeks ago for a small consultancy in Manhattan. We are working to fix a online product but the catch is, the product is broken in the first place - so it's a cluster f to begin and end with. I'm doing UX / UI but the boss is nuts and started yelling and saying crap about my work in a big meeting yesterday evening. Then he text me last night saying I was too expensive, my work is shit and things were not working out, blah, blah, blah.

    He set up a time to meet with me this morning, obviously thinking he's gonna fire me. I am relieved and I'm just all smiles when I want in to the meeting. He's very sharp dude and starts lecturing me, getting all serious, talking smack to me about my work and then I literally bust out laughing. He's saying the most ridiculous things I can't help it. He gets even more serious and I interrupt as he's on his soapbox, "aren't you going to fire me?" He ignores and keeps talking and I interrupt and repeat it again, his jaw drops. I ask him if it's my last day today? or it would be cool to work end of week? he short circuits. Then he gets more confused and starts back-pedaling. Then he asks if I can stay till end of month, than few minutes later till middle of Jan, then he starts talking about me working till the end of Jan...

    Pfft! So much lol today.
