I've had to manually back up my Android phone for years, which means I've ended up with dozens of duplicates of hundreds of photos. Is there an easy way to consolidate them in one folder, getting rid of or just ignoring the duplicates, without having to deal with dialogue boxes or warnings everytime a dupe is found?

    • Cant you just delete the old backups and use the most recent one?eryx
    • wtf, i responded to this earlier but it's not here? Mustn't've clicked 'save'....Nairn
    • the DCIM folder saves all photos in numerical order, no? So can't you just drop all the folders onto one copy and run with that one?Nairn
    • Not all of the backups have everything, as I had to delete folders from the phone to free up space. I don't want to be sitting here telling it what to do eachi_monk

    • Lightroom? ACDSee? Both have a pretty smart dedupe function.zarb0z
    • I don't have Lightroom at home, but maybe Bridge can handle that. Didn't know ACDSee was on mac now; haven't thought of it since switching from Win 98.i_monk
