Finally downgraded Adobe CC from full plan to Photography plan. I really only use PS and LR CC and Classic. Saves me $500-ish a year. I wish I'd done this sooner. I've got full CC on my work computer; if I ever need to use something else I can use that computer.
- Where do you use classic vs CC?Gnash
- On my iMac, I use Classic to fully manage EVERYTHING, going back to photos from 2009. I sync new or regularly used albums to LR CC.mg33
- It's a great workflow, perfect even. MBP, iPad, and phone all have LR CC.mg33
- However, the two issues are: Discrepancy between Collections and Folders/Albums, and presets don't sync between the two.mg33
- But overall it's great. Love having the choice between going to my basement to use iMac and Classic, or being upstairs using MBP and CC. It's great.mg33
- Thanks for this :) does cc only store to adobe cloud?Gnash
- You're welcome. Yes, to my knowledge. I'll upload plenty that way, then download them to Classic so they're on my NAS at home.mg33
- CC comes with two licenses so why buy the photography plan?Hayoth
- why not use your work login at home? and save even more.shapesalad
- I think I may have asked this already, but do you work off the NAS, or only back-up there? I want to make the plunge but worry about speedGnash
- Hayoth - I'm confused about what you're asking. Can you clarify?mg33
- shape salad - eh, don't want to go that route. my Adobe expenses go under a business LLC for freelance work.mg33
- Gnash - all photos live on the NAS, and are managed with the LR catalog on the iMac in LR Classic. It's plenty fast. I use a separate drive to back that up.mg33
- That was the best part of getting the NAS - finally backing up everything monthly and keeping those drives in a fire safe.mg33
- Great. I need to do this.Gnash
- I think what Hayoth meant was to just use your work CC at home (each license can be used on 2 stations)Gnash
- Shoot me a message if you need more detail or some rhyme and reason on set up. Fact is, I set that NAS up last December and I'm stillmg33
- transferring and organizing stuff. But it's been a joy to use.mg33
- And on hayoth's question, yea, see my answer above. CC subscription goes under business expenses of my own.mg33
