The vegan doner was ok.
It as ok in that it was actually fucking delicious - very well made and had a good selection of considered and homemade sauce, pickle and vegetables - and was in a way, one of the best kebabs i think I've ever had (venue won 'best UK Kebab 2019'. Yes, such a thing exists) I say this as someone who lives in Little Turkey in LDN.
But it was merely 'ok' in that after a few bites of the vegan meat replacement, my subconscious was going "yeah but it's not meat, is it - why didn't you get one with fucking chicken, you fool?".
So I think I'm going back there later to try one with flesh.
- Stop expecting meat and you’ll be fine.hans_glib
- There seem to be about forty 'Best Kebab shop 2019's' as its split into countries/regions and towns, then parts of some towns...webazoot
- Reads like its one of those awards where you pay your over the odds entry fee and they create a category for you to win.webazoot

- @hans no - my stomach felt a big pile of stodge in the seitan; it's just a mess of gluten, wrapped in bread with no interesting complexity or variance in form.Nairn
