The U.S. deficit hit $984 billion in 2019, soaring during Trump era
- hmm the link doesnt show the graph... deficit has grown.but quite typical. likely same percentage from bush to obama********
- not to say growing deficits are good. i find both quite awful and think neither party is concerned nor is the voting population. to curb than means real cuts********
- and waht politicians will be hired in saying what you had last year you wont have this year we need to practice responsibility. hence the trillion dollar********
- programs being peddled while 300 billion deficit increase seems super big even if that much money was just dumped into the repo markets.********
- lol... same percentage? Obama inherited a recession while Trump's economy is "booming"? how tf are those comparable?scruffics
- America is fucking bankruptscruffics
- anyone that try's to defend this - massive spending on nothing, ballooning our debt in a prosperous time, is beyond help.formed
- Do you think Trump can beat Obama's 1.5 trillion dollar record?robotron3k
- Can you not see the graph to the left? Trump won already. Biggest deficits! MAGAmathinc

- LOL @ defending the R's spending.zarkonite
- Fake graph is still fakerobotron3k
- Fake?monospaced
- It's only "fake" when it doesn't suit R's agenda. We all know reality means nothing to them.formed
- I hate trump as much as the next guy but this graph is totally made up, check out the WAPO article it has the real data.zarkonite
- well paywall on link. but how can a trump line from 17-19 be compared from a 14-17. if you did the same shit with a bush graph you'd see********
- not a comparison but an exponential growth in debt. which is terrible on home makers books, but globally a whole different story********
- good guys finish last and monetized debt is power. question is how long it will last********
- and its a non party related growth. its a fiscal issue that crosses partisan divides********
- hmm the link doesnt show the graph... deficit has grown.but quite typical. likely same percentage from bush to obama
