    Affinity Designer > Adobe Illustrator.

Spend the time and learn the basics.

    Superior desktop product.

    iPad version exists.

    No contest.

Haven't even touched their other offerings; Photo & publisher BUT might pull the trigger on all 3 for $210-ish.

    No subscription(s) (for now).

    : )

    • i dont think they will ever put a subscription model, the vast majority of their clients are there because they dont have one :)Bennn
    • Maybe major versions paid? Or grant-father in users who get in pre-subscription?

      Regardless me likey.

    • It's exciting using new software once (if?) the core differences click in your brain.ideaist
    • The only issue here is expecting Adobe Illustrator files to open perfectly every time.

      *Sigh*

    • Yeah, I had some troubles with my PSDs in Affinity Photo... that made me go back to Photoshop, i need some PSDs for my photo adjustments... it sucksBennn
    • I'm going to give it a go... lets see how long I last.ShaneHolley
    • I find the only problem again is that you have to begin in Affinity, NOT move from Adobe and expect a perfect transition.ideaist
    • yup. i've made the switch. learning curve is steep in unexpected places, but overall, it's goodbye to adobe and their scammy subscriptionhans_glib
