The "Go Back Home" line is hilarious / disgusting / of course he said it.
People say shit can't get any worse, but wait until someone who is currently inspired by Trump runs for office (and wins). Someone who sees the lack of retaliation by the liberals and the ease at which they'll distance themselves from the actual left.
The scary thing about Trump is he has so much obvious power right now that he actually isn't using, or when he attempts to, is bumbling. Some psychopath who doesn't have brand name hotel chains to fall back on is going to run on the Trump ideology one day (slightly adjusted for whatever discrimination would be generationally apt-probably unions, socialism, a new Red Scare) and actually be organized and coherent and not in the middle stages of dementia.
That person is going to be terrifying. This is just a warm-up, and the "resistance" is failing so fucking miserably it's almost incomprehensible.
- not sure if you are really scared of trump or his wasted "power" or just desiring your "leader" to run it all.. i mean executive power did get beat to shit********
- under bush and obama equally. are u really scared of that or simply someone you don't agree with exercising such power?********
- the idea you think trump has SO much power hes not using says so much about your world view********
- i don't desire for a system where the executive office has much power at all - and i fully blame obama for continuing the bush exec powers actcolin_s
- i'm saying there's enough power in the exec, at least militarily, to which if someone had motivation to abuse, it would not be difficult for them.colin_s
- i think he came in office coz people think the billionäre is so friggin wise he gonna save us all...so that part is quite up the hierachy. In Austria a bilionärneverscared
- ran for chancelor hit off with 22% percent or sth , than declined because of anti-humanistic-reta... comments and finally went bust, pretty sure trumps on theneverscared
- pathway just takes a little too long.neverscared
- It was already worse under Bush though wasn't it? Patriot Act, Homeland Security Department created, people held indefinitely and tortured, a waryuekit
- started that killed hundreds of thousands of people for no reason. Imagine if Trump had done all of that while maintaining the same rhetoric that he currentlyyuekit
- does. If anything you could argue that Trump has had the weird effect of waking people up to how authoritarian U.S. policies actually are, by ranting and ravingyuekit
- like a dictator while basically carrying on with the status quo in many ways.yuekit
- @yuekit exactly. until now bush years were far worse than trump. if bolton gets his way that could change. but the power is still there for the taking.colin_s
