    Anyone use Patreon?

Read somewhere the company "needs to build new businesses and new services and new revenue lines in order to build a sustainable business".

    WTF?

They are on track to disperse $500million to content creators and take in 5% of all revenue and 5% toward "transaction fees".

That's upward of $50mill to cover running and transaction costs for a business that isn't much more than an order taker. Tech obviously costs a bit to maintain, but am I missing something here? How could a successful business like this NOT be profitable?

    • For starters, they're probably paying 4 to 5% in transaction fees.nb
    • Investors, investors, investors.Nairn
