    Safety Training Bullshit

    I currently have to have and maintain the following safety tickets:
    First Aid
    H2S Training
    WHMIS
    Transportation of Dangerous goods
    Bear Awareness
    Detection and Control of Flammable substances
    Confined Space Training
    Working From Heights
    ATV training.
    Lift training.

    Then the general Safety that basically covers all the above course:
    Petroleum Safety Training
    Construction Safety training (8h online course)
    Electronic General Safety Orientation
    Pulp and Paper Safety Orientation.
    Common Safety Orientation (the new one I just completed today)
    All the same content and cover the same things and they expire every few years.

    Then there are the ones that a specific to my job:
    Eye test
    Exposure Device Operator EDO
    CGSB II RT Recertifications
    CGSB II MT Recertifications
    All of these have a big price tag and require a Practical test

    Now there are company orientation that we have to complete and likely will never use unless we subcontract for that company. They all expire each year currently I have:

    Taqa
    NTL
    Encana
    HammerHead
    Paramount
    NuVista
    CNRL
    Trevita
    Keyera
    Sinopec
    Serge
    CIOC
    Tidewater
    Berchclif
    Pembina
    And
    Seven Generations

    All of these are basically the same as the General Safety

    But oh no there is more.

    Once you get to site you also have to have a site specific orientation this happens at every site and THEN 

    You have to do a tailgate meeting which happens before you go to work. If conditions change you have to stop and do another tailgate meeting to identify any new hazards. Now you can go to work....

    After you complete a personal Job hazard assessment (JHA) form.

    Too many people to punch and my wrist is tired from filling out forms.
