I think most people wants something between an iMac and a Mac Pro on a similar form factor as this new Mac Pro.

Not everybody needs a server grade processor (those Xeons cost a fortune) and neither up to 1,5TB of RAM. But they do want the top of the line i7/i9 with easy upgrades of add on cards, memory and storage.

But I don't think we'll get to see this one. These computers are basically for scientist or companies doing heavy video editing / 3D rendering.

    • for reference this is a company that builds similar spec computers https://www.boxx.com… prices are quite similarernexbcn
    • maybe this is giving back to the pro market that built up apple in the first place? I can see tv/movie studios and anim houses with deep pockets all over this_niko
    • yeah totally, those guys have been waiting exactly for a thing like thisernexbcn
    • It’s exactly for entertainment studios. Anyone who thinks it’s for consumer level stuff doesn’t get it.monospaced
    • Price-wise it's completely what I expected; You can easily spend 10-20k on non-Apple stuff like this and if the iMac Pro starts at $5K, this would be more.evilpeacock
