    But Labor really fucked up their campaign. As smug as those on the right are with their win, a big chunk of the population are heartily sick of the far left lecturing many about how they should think. And if you were living up in outback QLD and your only source of income was a job working for a mining company or similar, and you had a bunch of chardonnay sipping twits in Brunswick telling you that you should vote to shut down the company that helps you feed your family, what do you think the reaction will be?

    The left need to change their methods. If you want to shut down a coal mine, how about offering an immediate solution to the workers that will be affected.

    When you hang your campaign on climate change and increasing taxes, it's not going to work. I hoped it would but it's clear now a more moderate line needs to be followed if they're ever going to get back in power.
