i dont know about your country/city, but over here it seems like politeness and good citizenship is not trendy anymore... It seems like the younger generation haven't learned how to say "thank you", "Please" or smiling or holding the door for the person behind you, etc.

    • True. I say "you're welcome" stern and aggressively, they get startled and look confused then say "uhh, uhh, thanks". No manners anymore.ArmandoEstrada
    • And I dont do it to get praise, just out of courtesy, but at least acknowledge the gesture.ArmandoEstrada
    • This is a tricky one - here in LDN I've encountered lots of [surprisingly] polite younglings - laterally, lots of ignant AF and mannerless oldlings. *shrugNairn
    • Pretty true. You very rarely get a wave or signal of thanks on the roads from young people if you do something nice while driving.BusterBoy
    • people have complained about that same trend for centuries. kids these days!inteliboy
    • I live in Brighton. All the kids are middle class, polite, friendly, progressive, happy, interesting. Change your reality Bennn, doesn't seem like you're happyset
    • You know when you're looking to buy a new car and all of a sudden you see that model everywhere... ; )set
