I think that episode was my favorite of the season so far in spite of some of the gaps in logic. At least now there is unpredictability and a feeling of stakes. The final scene with the beheading was well done in terms of imagery.
I do wonder if they really have time to pull off the character arc it looks like they are going for with Daenerys. Some interesting theories floating around about how the show ends, but can you do it in two more episodes? Why did they feel the need to limit the final season to six episodes anyway?
- HBO seems desperate to keep GOT on the air with at least three spin offs in development, but they also rushed to wrap up the original series? Kind of strange...yuekit
- Best Got is the slow character stuff, not the action. They could have easily dragged it out a bit - but people would have complained either way.inteliboy
- I'm just happy to see Arya and the hound together - an iconic pairing imo. like r2d2 & c3po, or lonewolf & cub.inteliboy
- agreed, i'd watch that spinoff_niko
- I'm just wondering why they made this season shorter than the others considering the ridiculous number of plotlines they need to wrap up.yuekit
- If that's all they need it makes sense but lots of things in this episode felt very abrupt.yuekit
- I'm glad they aren't dragging it on any further, even though I'd like to see more. Quit while you're ahead, make it a classic before it's ruined.********
- Spinoffs will be fun and can fail while allowing the original series to stand the test of time. It really is a masterpiece imo.********
