    I just had someone tell me something that sounds ridiculous concerning fade effects on a website, that fade in text or other elements as you scroll.

    They said that this hurts SEO because the content is not immediately visible. But it's still in the site, it's still in the code, it's still in the page, with an effect added to it to reveal it.

    Is there any truth to this?

    • Could be true. If the initial state is invisible Google is pretty clever. You could have false information on there just hidden. I am NO expert though.Hayzilla
