the most annoying part of the 2016 campaign was liberals laughing at me when i said "don't sleep on trump." the most annoying part of this one will be liberals screaming at me when i say i won't support anyone but bernie.
the left in america needs to realize that "incremental measures of change" is a fucking slogan not a political practice. you go at something balls-to-the-wall and it ends up being compromised down to incremental change. starting with mediocrity and expecting to get anywhere is ideologically weak and fundamentally stupid.
there is a time for debate and a time for action. the time for action was six years ago, but the democratic party wants to keep talking about the next sensitive issue while figuring out how to capitalize from it. the left will drag this country kicking and screaming back to "greatness" with things that have already worked (taxing the wealthy) and those that logically will (providing services for the needy).
warren is a capitalist and harris is a cop. get ready for a fight.
- +1 Feel the bern!akiersky
- I personally feel it doesn't make any sense for Sanders to run against his acolytes. He's too old and his too much old-style socialism (see his past interviews)allthethings
- to win. He has already succeeded in articulating a way forward for progressives, and should get out of the way.allthethings
- It does frighten me a little that with 15 candidates it could be just like GOP 16, where somebody not-as-good squeaks through winning 30%allthethings
