A friend of a friend passed yesterday and I am almost sure it was a suicide. His wife passed away from a seizure a few years ago and he had been coping with severe substance abuse issues. He leaves behind a little daughter.
I have funny memories of me and him wandering around parties with cellphones taped to our heads. The guy was a goof and that is in short supply these days. I know his friends and family are devastated and I almost cracked up calling my friend—he was like a best friend to her.
His daughter it the one who is going to be most devastated and I hope a circle of love and trust forms around that little girl.
