    y'know, if the economy was doing this well under obama, the narrative of the media would have had a much different sound

    the issue is trump's methods of distraction and escalation-using whatever hair-brained, racist tirade to up from the previous-is also hurting any political clout he or the GOP could gain right now (all of which is fine by me)

    the one thing i do like about the trump administration is that it brings a stirring amount of honesty to government. yes, he lies about anything that is related to potential legal action for himself, but outside of that, his brutal honesty is refreshing.

    politicians lie through their teeth so much that the disingenuous nature of hillary clinton is what lost her the election. they obviously hate the poor, have no qualms with strength by force / police states and represent next to nobody in the electorate. trump is the only one in my memory to ever be honest about this (outside of maybe dick cheney on a hot mic).

    so the world is ending and all, but it was going to anyway. the NYT is all up in arms about his lies but i think it's a refreshing bout of truth to see a president openly admit how much they don't give a fuck about most people.
