Looking for advice on with going on a Gluten/Dairy AND Egg free diet. We're doing this for our 7yr old son who has HIGH sensitivity each. He's also high functioning autistic, ADHD, Tourettes, anxiety. We just recently learned about his food sensitivities and also its causing leaky gut.

We're doing this for 3-6 month and then reintroducing food items to see which ones are causing the most issues for him. We're starting this diet after the new year... and all the options look horrifying to the taste buds.

Anyone else gone Gluten/Dairy and Egg free?

    • I'm you're changing your diet embrace that change. Don't try recipes that offer an alternative to common dishes you will certainly be dissapointed.soundofreason
    • For example, in your case give up cake completely. Try fruit salads.soundofreason
    • BioNature makes really good Pasta.keewee

    • I am on the spectrum and was terribly sick. I have had to cut out sooo much of my diet and in the end, ended up vegan.mugwart
    • This helped me out so so much. Hard to comment on small message boxes.
#1 enjoy the change - expore - go to food markets

    • #2 cut out all these foods but make sure you enjoy to search for new ones (ie dont complain your missing your cheese burger - go off and find a replacement)mugwart
    • #3 go slow - cutting out but you will make mistakes - not all things that state they are gluten free are. Its all in the yeildmugwart
    • #4 the more you detox - the more sensitive you get. So expect that. Buy active charcole. If you get 'hit' take some tablets and down the water as it consipatesmugwart
    • and takes out all nutrients as well. Last resortsmugwart
    • #5 dont have an end goal. I didnt mean to end up vegan, it sort of just happened. I have no moral high ground on this and only state this to illustratemugwart
    • #6 avoid all supermarkets and only source from people/farmers whom give a shit.mugwart
    • #7 cry at your bank balance. This is the best thing you can do for your kid (and self) but you can not really cut corners and it is not cheap.mugwart
    • to make sure that your kid does not think they are eating boring:

    • also dont rush into things. ie go straight to raw food diet. Your body takes time to change and also it might not be for you.mugwart
    • one other things - yes to sounds first comment. Find and explore new things. example - dairy free cheese a day after eating normal cheese and your'll regret it.mugwart
    • discovering happy cheeze (berlin company!) X amount of time after and your really happy!
that said a mate tried that company and prefers to normal cheese
