It's awful! It's not chewing gum in the slightest. It's like someone took chewing gum and put load of unneccessary packaging around it so you can't eat the fucking stuff.
And once you've finally got through all the terminator vision snazzy bits of fake *data* and "whirr, click click" noises what's going on with the homepage? Do I look at the slidy menu or the tiny text? What is what? What do these people do? Design websites you say? I dread to think what they churn out...
I wouldn't even give the time to browse work they've done if they represent themselve slike this...
Dear Lord. Are these the kind of companies that you lot like? Whatever happenned to ideas? Restraint? Typography? We b standards? Common sense?
Soon the internet will change. People are growing savvy to the need to consider useability very strongly in the design process, and these companies will die out. It's supposed to be *design*, ie something the sucess of which is derived from it's intention, which must involve useability. Too many people call themselves designers when in fact they're illustrators, but with lots of fonts. They think the design process would be better if their clients let them do as the wish.
A piece of design is only as good as it's adherence to the intentions of the brief.
