^^ I go through phases like that. Going through a bit of a funk at the moment wondering why things end up the way they have. I'm OK at getting to know people but not great at keeping friends. Made the mistake of joining a FB group of my school year level...about 60 blokes that I don't keep in touch with apart from a reunion every 10 years. Keep seeing photos of them catching up...my 2 best mates in school just posted some pics of a trip OS with 2 other school friends...and I wonder why the fuck I didn't stay in touch...I was really close to them for a long time.
Now the blokes that I sometimes associate with (not close friends...mainly ones I've met through kids school etc) - many of them socialise but I am never invited to things. They'll go skiing, bike riding...but I haven't received any invite ever.
Perhaps I'm just a cunt...and probably express my general disdain of people outwardly without realising. I don't really wish I spent more time with these people...I just sometimes get down that I am such an irrelevance to people I know.
Fuck...what a Debbie Downer post that was.
