Mono.... u mentioned markets and that you are very privy to them and have invested into them in the last twenty years. Im still curious what merit you invested in or value. Or were you merely giving someone money promising fortune down the road like any priest. Im very curious of your actual involvement and knowledge of investment. How do you choose to invest?

    • I invested money buying specific stocks and mutual funds, which I research and follow. I didn’t give a person money promising me fortune like a priest.monospaced
    • I prefer to invest in companies and markets I understand, which has been very fruitful over the years.monospaced
    • Wrong thread, by the way. The stock market isn’t really affected by politics much at all, unless we’re talking about oil or the federal reserve.monospaced
    • I’m not religious but I’ve never heard that priests “offer fortune down the road.” Is this true or are you talking about heaven? The market isn’t like religion.monospaced

    • eh money and politics are quite entangled. and no reason to bump other threads on the feed. and heaven is no different con than any future bet.

    • so you research and directly make the buys? No 401K company incentivized tax deferal type programs.

    • All you. No Vanguard algos? No collective funds to hedge losses by a manager who cashes out on every high performance while you wait 40 yrs?

    • Im also curious your opinion of the gov-fed low interest rate scam that has boosted on paper the giant wealth inequality

    • Being an investor do you still think the Fed should increase rates and blow the all the asset bubbles even if it might mean you lose, lets say, 60% paper wealth
      ********
    • Since the gov is actively involved in banking and economic activity, negating free markets, broad economics actually do kind of fall into this thread

    • and im asking purely out of curiosity. a person who thinks as you do, who actively invests. how do you choose to do it, and what differentiates your motives

    • it goes beyond arm chair philosophy and tells me what you believe in by the actions you choose.

    • Oh I have a very large 401k and another retirement account as well. You don’t?monospaced
    • It’s so obvious that you’re attempting to conclude that I’m somehow part of the problem by making money on the market. But you won’t be able to.monospaced
    • No i don't on principle despite false incentives. Dabbled in my early 20s but it just didnt make sense. I see a greater chance said paper wealth to be used

    • I've never done that.monospaced
    • Enjoy not playing the market, keeping your pennies under your bed. I'll enjoy making money like a capitalist liberal does.monospaced
    • Not that I can imagine you have much to invest in the first place, what with your atrocious writing skills and obvious 11th grade education limit.monospaced
    • hehe. the rich kid trying to brow beat his idea of the poor kid. by the way a capitalist liberal is quite an oxy moron.

    • in reason at least. plenty of fools think they can have their cake and eat it too. truth is they have no principles and are absolutely selfish. MO of all humans

    • so, you went through this to make the point that I'm selfish? NO SHIT ASSHOLE. never claimed otherwise. Plus, I'm eating my cake and having it!monospaced
    • capitalist liberal isn't an oxymoron ... it's the fundamental makeup of the modern world, which you clearly are either too stupid or too unfortunate to be partmonospaced
    • but once again, if you're entire purpose was to come to that conclusion, you are simply an asshole. The easiest way to go about this was to just ask memonospaced
    • i can ask but few people are truely honest with themselves. you still aren't. but how bout this define you capitalist liberal.

    • after all its two generalizations and easy to misinterpret and you are right that I should ask. so please define it for us
