So.....bit of a bizarre life story here today that I feel like I had to share.
Im a guy in my 40s, got married very young, had kids, built a home with a big mortgage. All was good until a few years ago when I ended up getting separated from my ex, the hardest time ever. Very messy separation, with kids and a house involved. Fast forward a few years to today, financial mediation negotiations are ongoing, and it's looking like I'll have to buy my ex out of the house and pay her around 40k.
First mediation meeting was just last week, all very civil and ok, but seriously stressful nonetheless trying to figure out where / how id manage to be able to continue to afford the mortgage and buy her out of the house too.
Then today, i get home from work, Friday evening, I open a letter from the bank, informing me they've been overcharging me for the past 10 years and owe me around 40k. almost the exact same amount I needed to buy out my ex...
Insane and bizzare timing...
Life can be fucking nuts...- Moral of the story, dont get married..
