I've been playing it all weekend (RDR2). I'm really trying to avoid the main story and just explore and pick up a few side quests here and there.

One of them involved me confronting a gunslinger up in the mountains. I left early in the morning and because of heavy rain it took all day (in game time) negotiating the steep terrain to get to the destination and complete that part of the side quest. So, I camped out for the night to head back in the morning. The next day was pure blue skies as a backdrop to the majestic snowy mountains. I was so blown away by the realism I stopped every 15 feet for a screenshot. This was probably the most real a game has ever felt. The water effects of lakes, rivers, and streams are so compelling as are the sounds of nature and wild life. At times it's as though your mind can smell everything you interact with in the game - from your leather saddle and horse's mane, to the brisk air, cedar, and pine. Crazy.

    • Most screenshottable game ever. The dynamic clouds, lighting and weather are all amazing. And there is so much attention to detail.Milan
    • Like the way snow falls off a tree branch when you bump it or the way water runs off a roof when it's raining.Milan
